Dave has been interested in drumming for many years after watching the drummer in a local band the Tanyarders in the late 60s and early 70s.
On a day out to Ripon Racecourse Car Boot Sale, he was bought a set of 4 drums by his daughters. So at the age of 58 he finally started learning to play.
At that time the music shop in Settle, run by Allan Evans helped Dave to build up his kit. Through Allan he sat in with the monthly guitar session to gain experience of playing with others. It was there he met Alan Bailey and Matt Purcell and a band was born.
Now with twelve years of experience Dave the Drummer is living out his drumming dream!
Dave says: "I must thank everybody that I have met to help me on my way and live my dream. As someone once said you are never too old to learn."
