Keith is rhythm and lead guitarist and joined Revival of The Fittest in April 2018.
It was a true baptism of fire! After being accosted by Dave the Drummer in Morrisons supermarket, he had friendly audition on a Tuesday evening with the band. Having impressed everyone, the decision was made to welcome him into the fold. At the end of the session the band asked what he was doing on the coming Saturday. When he replied nothing in particular, the other three seemed pleased.
“We have a gig" they said smiling.
"Really?" replied Keith, "I don't know many of the songs you play."
"Oh don't worry, you'll pick it up in no time" was the response. "Thing is, its our biggest gig of the year with at least 1000 people in attendance”.
A shocked Keith rose to the challenge, learning (mostly), the 45 song set list in just 3 days.
The gig itself was a non-stop 2.5 hour marathon in a large marquee and despite being in a pool of sweat, he survived.
As a retired electronic engineer, Keith is the go to repair man for all of the bands equipment having rebuilt the stage lights, PA and the mixing desk, as well as servicing the guitars and amplifiers. He is a certified Marshall engineer and has a state of the art workshop at home.
From a musical family, Keith's Mum was piano teacher, hence he can play the piano, organ and keyboards too. However his Fender Stratocaster is his true passion.
